Description

About the Wine: Solengo is the first Super Tuscan to orgininate in Montalcino and it shares its name with the region’s wild boar when it is alone. The founding father of the Super Tuscans, Giacomo Tachis, was instrumental in crafting this flagship Super Tuscan for Argiano. The 2014 Solengo is a beautiful purple with aromas and flavors infused with ripe, dark fruits framed with subtle hints of toasted oak. It is smooth on the palate with great concentration balanced by silky, delicate tannins. The elegant structure and finish completes a wine of finesse that is approachable young and will age gracefully for years.
